Monday Morning Paint-alongs
Join other art league members every Monday morning from 9 a.m. until noon to practice your craft, whatever the medium might be: oils, sculpting, watercolors, acrylics...
Bring your own supplies and work independently. You'll benefit from being in the company of others with like or similar interests, exchanging ideas, or just socializing.
This is a free event, but donations are always accepted to cover the cost of coffee and donuts.
Check the calendar for details.
Workshops
SHAL invites noted artists to share their expertise with its members. Past workshops have been led by Regine Dossche (Power Tex Sculpture); Jude Caborn (watercolor painting on textured surfaces); Diane Becker (oil painting); Jana Withers (plein air painting); and other interesting mediums.
The workshops are a wonderful opportunity for members to hone their skills or explore new ones.
Workshops scheduled for the current season can be viewed at Calendar 2011and Calendar 2012.

Monthly membership meetings
Members meet on the third Monday of the month (September through May) at the United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. in Spring Hill, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Following our general business meeting, we offer informative demonstrations using local and well known artists. A workshop is usually given the next day. Check the SHAL calendar page for workshop information about cost, time and material requirements.
SHAL members always have something to look forward to! Whether it's attending a workshop, raising money for the arts, or sharing techniques in their preferred medium, there are plenty of activities to keep members engaged.

Helping to fund our activities
Fundraisers scheduled periodically are a way to help bring money in for SHAL's educational and outreach activities.
Many members enjoy giving their time and talents to this important endeavor.
Check this website periodically for announcements of upcoming fundraisers.
